Quick start

End-to-end reservation integration scenario: get a token, find a restaurant, check availability and create a reservation.

End-to-end reservation integration scenario: get a token → find a restaurant → check availability → create a reservation → read it back. All requests go to production https://api.hostmeapp.com (for testing, replace with https://api-qa.hostmeapp.com).

1. Get a token

Terminal window
curl -X POST https://api.hostmeapp.com/Token \
-H "Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded" \
-d "grant_type=password&username=YOUR_USERNAME&password=YOUR_PASSWORD"

Save the access_token from the response — you’ll need it in all the following requests.

Terminal window
export TOKEN="eyJhbGciOiJ..."

2. Find the available restaurants

Terminal window
curl https://api.hostmeapp.com/api/core/admin/account/me \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $TOKEN"

The response contains a restaurants[] array. Take the id of the restaurant you need as restaurantId:

Terminal window
export RID=123

3. Check availability

Let’s find free slots for 2 people on a specific date:

Terminal window
curl -G https://api.hostmeapp.com/api/rsv/admin/restaurants/$RID/availability \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $TOKEN" \
--data-urlencode "Date=2026-07-01T19:00:00" \
--data-urlencode "GroupSize=2" \
--data-urlencode "AsOnlineGuest=true"

The AsOnlineGuest=true parameter calculates availability the same way as for an online guest (restricted slots, no occupied tables). See Table availability for details.

4. Create a reservation

Terminal window
curl -X POST https://api.hostmeapp.com/api/rsv/admin/restaurants/$RID/reservations \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $TOKEN" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"reservationTime": "2026-07-01T19:00:00",
"groupSize": 2,
"customerName": "John Parker",
"phone": "+16175550123",
"email": "ivan@example.com",
"specialRequests": "Window table",
"source": "partner-widget"
}'

The response returns the reservation object (BookingContract) with an assigned identifier. The full reference of request and response fields — Create and manage.

5. Read the reservation

Terminal window
curl https://api.hostmeapp.com/api/rsv/admin/restaurants/$RID/reservations/RESERVATION_ID \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $TOKEN"
