Auto-tags
Tags the panel assigns on its own from guest activity and visit history — what they are and where the feature stands.
Auto-tags are tags the panel assigns on its own — from a guest’s activity and visit history, with no one marking anything by hand after every shift.
They live in Guests → the Auto-tags tab.
How they differ from ordinary tags
An ordinary tag is what the team knows about a guest and what no profile field holds: “Owner’s friend”, “Window table”, “Demanding guest”. A person puts it there.
An auto-tag is derived from what already happened: how many times the guest came, how long ago the last visit was, how it ended. Keeping marks like these current by hand is work nobody does regularly — and without it they go stale within a month.
Where the feature stands
It is in closed testing with a limited group of restaurants and will open to everyone once that wraps up. For now the tab is not visible to all.
The full description — which tags the panel can assign, by what rules, and how to configure them — will appear here when the feature opens to everyone.
What you can do today
The same job — “find everyone who matches a condition” — is handled today by segments: a saved filter over visits, amounts and dates, applied in one click both in the guest book and in campaigns. The difference is that a segment answers with a list, while an auto-tag leaves a mark on the profile itself.
