Getting Started

The Hostme Admin Panel is one place for reservations, the floor, guests and communications. This page helps you go from zero to running in 10–15 minutes.

Welcome to Hostme

First steps

Sign in to the panel with the account you were given when you joined. The main screen is the Dashboard with a summary of the shift.

On the left is the menu with the panel’s sections. At the top of it is the restaurant name: if you have several, this is where you pick the one you are working with — that is how an owner or a group manager moves between venues. The “Open Host Panel” button is right there too: it takes you to the Host Panel, the host’s workplace during the shift.

On the dashboard you’ll be greeted by the “Getting Started” tile. Until the first step is done it reads “Let’s get your restaurant ready” with a “Start setup” button; after that it shows progress like “2 of 6 steps complete” and a “Continue setup” button. Both open the launch checklist. It’s the same list as below: clicking a step row opens the relevant section of the panel.

  1. Fill in your public page (~5 min) — logo, description, categories, cuisine and at least one service other than reservations and the waitlist, which the system turns on itself. This is how guests see your restaurant on its Restogram page; a website is optional. Until everything is there, the item shows what is missing — for example “2 of 5 · missing: description, categories, cuisine” — and its button takes you to the first empty block. The Public Page section.
  2. Create a Floor plan (~10 min) — build a plan or take the demo one so you can accept reservations and seat guests. Guide: How to build a floor plan.
  3. Adjust Availability (~5 min) — operating hours, online booking windows and time slots: guests book only when you’re ready. The Availability tab.
  4. Start accepting online reservations (~5 min) — approval mode, party sizes and booking horizons. The Online Booking section.
  5. Invite your team (~2 min) — add hosts, managers and other staff so the whole shift sees the same reservations and one table never goes to two parties. The Roles & Permissions section.
  6. Adjust Floor rules (~10 min) — turnover, hold times and server rules. The Table Rules section.

Searching the panel

The search bar at the top is the fastest way to reach any setting without remembering which section it lives in. Open it with a click or with ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux). On a narrow screen the bar is replaced by a search icon that opens the same window.

Search covers not just pages but also tabs and individual sections inside them: type “deposit” or “table turnover” and you land right where you need to be, rather than on a page you’d have to scan by eye.

Only what you have access to is shown: settings locked by your role don’t appear in the results.
